Help us turn donations into meals for local families! Volunteers are needed to assist with transporting food collected at the Somerset Hills YMCA to the county food bank. This important role ensures that the generosity of our members and community reaches those who need it most. Volunteers will help load donated food items, transport them to the food bank, and unload donations upon arrival. A personal vehicle with adequate cargo space is helpful, but most importantly, we're looking for dependable volunteers who are committed to supporting our community. The Food Bank accepts deliveries Monday through Friday, 9am-2:30pm. Each shift is one trip to the food bank. Food Bank Network of Somerset County
For many families, summer means more than just school vacation—it also means the loss of school-provided breakfasts and lunches. As food costs continue to rise, this can place additional strain on household budgets. Throughout July, Somerset Hills YMCA will be collecting non-perishable food donations to support the Food Bank Network of Somerset County and help ensure local children and families have access to healthy meals all summer long. Together, we can help keep our community nourished, healthy, and supported.
