Somerset Hills YMCA Branch Board Student Advocates 2026-2028

Somerset Hills YMCA

Student Advocates play an important role in advancing the Y’s mission by serving as youth ambassadors and advocates within the community. In collaboration with the Somerset Hills YMCA Branch Board, this leadership opportunity gives students a voice in shaping the Somerset Hills YMCA by contributing ideas, participating in volunteer opportunities, and helping encourage greater youth involvement. The Student Advocate position is a two-year leadership commitment ideal for high school juniors who are interested in developing leadership, public speaking, and community engagement skills. Successful Student Advocates are enthusiastic about learning, sharing ideas, and encouraging their peers to get involved. Students should also be strong communicators and listeners who are approachable, dependable, and responsive. Over the two-year term, Student Advocates will have the opportunity to grow their leadership skills, build meaningful connections, and make a lasting impact within their community.
